Notable Paintings at The National Gallery
Here are some paintings I especially enjoyed at The National Gallery:
- A Knight with his Jousting Helmet, Giovanni Battista Moroni
- An Iron Forge, Joseph Wright 'of Derby' (What mastery over light!)
- The Ambassadors, Hans Holbein the Younger (Look closely at all the objects)
- The Annunciation, Carlo Crivelli (I've never seen so much detail in a painting - you really need to get up close to appreciate this one - although I'd say the scene is fictional)
