Confession of an iPhone 3G Convert

Everyone who knows me knows what a fan I am of Windows Mobile. I've had devices for years and have sung the praises of Smartphones (non touchscreen) and Pocket PCs all the while. My latest device was the HTC Advantage (T-Mobile Ameo) which I absolutely loved. My sights were next set on the HTC Diamond. Then the reviews and videos poured in highlighting the delay users experience while navigating the interface. I was still interested and would apply any registry fixes xda-developers.com recommended!

Ah then I got whif of the iPhone 3G launch in the U.K. and decided to investigate with more of an open mind. I watched the full screen in depth videos Apple put up days before the launch. I was immediately impressed and hooked! What a user-friendly interface I thought.

Now I was in a quandry: Diamond or 3G? I decided to review all the specs and compare both devices in detail. Removable battery on Diamond: good, however its underpowered at 900 ma - bad. Big one for me was screen size: Diamond 2.8" while 3G is glorious 3.5". Couldn't find any WM devices at 3.5"! Multi-touch? Sweet!

I won't go into full comparison here (log a comment if you want one). See more iPhone 3G likes (and dislikes) on my new blog dedicated to the device: http://iphone3giscool.blogspot.com/

Let me sum up by saying this is the best multi-function device on the market! Hands-down!

Microsoft I adore you, BUT get your act together! Rebuild WM from the ground up and take a lesson from Apple!
